Ian Hutchison

Ian Hutchison was born in Loveland, Colorado, and grew up in Colorado Springs. He has studied with local jazz legend Ken Walker and Colorado Symphony Orchestra's John Arneson and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music with a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance. Ian has performed with several notable jazz ists including Javon Jackson, Steve Ba, David Amram, and Darrell Grant and Andy Stein. He is well versed in all major musical styles, including rock, salsa, country, funk, jazz, Brazilian, bluegrass, and classical. His busy performance schedule brings him to the most popular jazz venues in the Rocky Mountain region. He hosts the Dazzle jam session every Tuesday and currently plays in The Taffetas at the Denver Center for the Performing arts.
